Other kiddos put a Marvel spin on things and create their superhero. I am super excited about this camp week…HOUSE DESIGN! We begin the week by reading a literary favorite, The Big Orange Splot by Daniel Pinkwater.

Each artist will be given a large wooden house to design and all of the materials to implement their design. Your artist will first imagine what kind of house it will be….a haunted house, a house for the luckiest pet ever, a castle house, survival…whatever you can think of. We will spend the week designing rooms, painting, making wallpaper, making furniture, and more. This project is for boys and girls alike.

POTIONS Camp is all about mixing concoctions and potions. We will make slime, magic and colorful potions, potions for bathtime, food-related potions, erupting volcanoes, chalk, flower potions, sun prints, and more. Bring your imagination and creativity and wear clothes that can get messy.

Fiber Art Camp- Let's weave and dye!  We will have fun using yarn and fabric to create our fiber art, including cardboard loom weaving, resist dyeing, and finger knitting.

Spend the week exploring Fiber arts and textiles. We will shibori and indigo dying, make a quilt square from a beloved children’s picture book and incorporate trapunto, a quilting technique, make a pillow, weave, and more.

Creatures That Fly We will turn our drawings into 3D winged creatures using papier-mache, use clay to sculpt the lifecycle of a butterfly and fire it, draw beautiful winged creatures. We will make large butterfly wings and fly around in a nearby park and more!

Printmaking Come and spend the week making different kinds of prints. Explore with found objects, gelli plate prints, monoprints, turn a pasta makier into a printing press nd more.  Each student artists will bring home several pieces of art at the end of the week.

BEDAZZLE Week Spend the week making wearable bedazzle art. Join us in designing your own bedazzle clothing. Add as much bling, sparkle paint, and fun iron-on patches as you like. It’s not possible to have too much bling! Bring your own clothing to decorate. This afternoon camp is half-day from 1:30-4:30. This class is taught by our jewelry teacher Stephanie Storm.

Early morning care is from 8:00-9:00 am. Your child can get a jump start on painting or another free choice activity. If your child has not eaten breakfast, send it.
