Each artist will create a clay hand candle holder. Artists may give the candle holder as a gift or cherish it at home for years to come. Clay pieces must be fired; please plan to return to the studio to pick them up. If time permits, kiddos can make two clay hands.

Hand-made gifts are the best! Spend the afternoon making ceramic bowls to give to loved ones as a holiday gift. Each artist will create numerous ceramic bowls just in time for the holidays. Bowls must be fired in the kiln, so plan to return to the studio to pick them up.

Using their imagination, students will create a one-of-a-kind piece of art of their family gathered for a holiday meal. They will draw with a pencil or sharpie and add color with cray-pas and watercolor paints. This will be a frameable and unique piece to possibly give as a gift.

Collage and Customize a novelty shelf for your room. Join us for an hour to decorate and customize a unique piece of usable art to organize and feature special trinkets or collections. Each artist will take with piece home when they leave the workshop.
Spend a creative hour fabricating a shadow box in the style of Joseph Cornell. We will read a short story about this artist and then brainstorm ideas to create a unique piece of art. Each artist will take their shadow box home at the end of the class.

Clothing and Costume Design Workshop This workshop should be called Fashion Design because that’s what it turns into…making clothing and accessories for an artist’s figure. The artists will have many fabrics to select from to create as many outfits as they desire for their artist’s figure. There is a great deal of creative energy in this workshop.

We will make slime and other concoctions in Art Potions but also explore with other magic art experiences…we will use indigo and shibori, tie-dye, make soap, make Sun Prints, and cyanotypes, and marbelize paper. The class is 1.5 hours on Saturdays. Ages 4-12
