Using colorful fibers and yarns, weave a rainbow. Artists can turn their rainbow into a patch and wear it.

Animation Series Create short digital animations. Make characters from clay or premade figures, develop a story and learn how to use an ipad app to shoot, edit and share your animations. Ages 7 and up. Cost is $120 for the series
Looking for something fun for your artists to do during a school holiday or snow day? Look no further…bring them to Sky Soup Art Center to make art, play, and spend part of the day with their friends. We are happy to offer school holiday and snow day CAMPS. We have many exciting projects designed around a theme. Campers will create one-of-a-kind art pieces. Camp hours are from 9:00-12:00 and/or 1:00-4:00, depending on the date. Most of the time will be spent making art, but we will also have free play time, a story, and a snack. Send your child with a snack and water bottle.

Weaving for Kids Children, young and old, have an innate ability to weave. Use yarn, feathers, beads, and paper to create beautiful weavings on a circular loom, using an embroidery hoop as a base. We will work on several projects to bring home, use, and display. If artists finish their weaving, we will begin a second. Bring your creativity!

Spend the morning creating bowls of different types… Warm up with pinch pots, move to miniature bowls from cookie cutters, gorgeous lace-pressed bowls. All of the pots will be fired in the kiln and can be glazed and picked up at a later date.

Use beads and glue to create a wearable piece of art. Make a brooch, pin, or magnet to give as a gift, to wear, or attach to your backpack. Artists will take home their one-of-a-kind creations. We have a large assortment of beads to select and create with. Artists may make as many as time allows.
Each artist will sew and draw on their butterfly pillow, creating a one-of-a-kind piece. Combining stitching and illustration, every pillow becomes a unique work of art that reflects individual creativity and style. a unique butterfly pillow.
Let’s celebrate families! Using their imagination, students will create a one-of-a-kind piece of art of their family gathered for a holiday meal. They will draw with a pencil or Sharpie and add color with cray-pas and watercolor paints. Your artist will include details specific to your family, such as who is gathered at the tables, favorite foods, and pets. This will be a frameable and unique piece that can be given as a gift just in time for the holidays.

Halloween Workshop Bring your imagination for this Halloween workshop. We will have a lot of materials to create scary terrariums and Mexican sugar skulls. Wear a costume if you dare.
Take your edible sugar skull and other pieces home with you.
Use clay to create ceramic cacti garden. Artists can invent their own cactus or create miniature life like models of real cactus. These pieces will be fired and must be picked up several days after the camp.

Spend the afternoon in the studio drawing and painting. We will create a frameable piece that each artist will take home at the end of the morning.

Sculpt cats from clay. Make a family of cats using clay. The clay will be fired and will need to be picked up on another day.
Join us in the studio to make potions. We will make slime with color and glitter, and mix a magic potion. Each child will take their potions home.
School Holiday Drawing Workshop. We will spend the morning drawing and adding color to a framable piece of art with cray-pas and watercolor paints. The artists can take home their pieces at the end of the workshop.
In addition to drawing, the artists can always paint on the easel, free-draw, play, and read.

We will spend the afternoon together with friends making a GRATITUDE JAR. Take it home at the end of the day to share it with your family. We will work with mason jars and collage.

Join us in the studio for an hour and make slime with color and glitter. After we make slime, there will be time to play with us and learn how to make big slime bubbles.
Students will create a one-of-a-kind sculpture of their family on a sofa. We will spend the entire class time creating. Students will need to plan to return to the studio to glaze or paint their keepsake once it has been fired. Get a head start on the most memorable handmade gift ever!

Spend the AFTERNOON mixing and experimenting with kitchen ingredients. Making a mess is of no concern in the studio. We will mix, measure, and stir all afternoon to create imaginary concoctions, elixirs, and slime.

Throughout history, people have been fascinated by shoes. Students will spend the morning embellishing a shoe that is designed around a theme that interests them. We will brainstorm ideas, see examples of shoe art and create our own. Students bring a shoe that can be turned into art.

Spend the morning creating prints with artist Jessica Eldredge and this unusual printing material. Students will use traditional printing-making tools and colorful inks to create one-of-a-kind prints.
